About GolfBayGuide
Last updated November 4, 2026
GolfBayGuide is an independent editorial site about the most expensive measurement mistake in home golf: buying a launch monitor before checking whether the room can hold a swing. We cover the room first — ceiling height, bay width, screen distance, garage-door clearance — and the hardware second.
What we publish
- Room and garage build guides grounded in manufacturer documentation and real dimensions.
- Launch monitor, projector, screen, mat, and enclosure comparisons.
- Software and subscription breakdowns, with the annual cost shown.
- Installed-cost estimates with the assumptions visible.
What we do not do
- We do not sell simulators, launch monitors, or installation services.
- We do not accept payment for a ranking or a review score.
- We do not present estimates as quotes. Room dimensions and prices vary.
Who writes it
The byline is GolfBayGuide Editorial Team. We are a small research desk, not a fitter or a contractor. Every article lists its sources, and every cost estimate shows its arithmetic. If a claim cannot be sourced, it is labelled as our estimate rather than stated as fact.

What we do not cover
We do not review commercial simulator bars, golf instruction, or swing coaching, and we do not fit clubs. Our focus is the home bay: the room, the launch monitor, the projector, the screen, the software, and the installed cost. Commercial builds are a different budget and a different review process.
How the site is funded
Affiliate commissions from simulator and launch monitor merchants fund the research. There are no sponsored rankings or paid placements, and the bay calculator runs in the browser without sending your room measurements anywhere. When a merchant offers a review unit, we disclose it on the page.
